November and December of any year is a busy time for all and it is likely that many who intend to register for CIE 2019 are waiting for the New Year, before applying for travel funds to register for CIE 2019. A survey is now available for you to indicate your interest in attending CIE 2019, we would love to gauge your interest in CIE 2019 and invite you to give us some feedback via the survey.
 
As already announced registration is open for CIE 2019. The online registration system will be open until one week before the conference.

Accomodation during CIE 2019

A block of rooms has been secured at the Marriott Wardman Hotel, from June 14 to 21, 2019, for attendees at CIE 2019.

These rooms are located in the Center, Park, or Wardman tower of the hotel. All rooms have 1 king or 2 double beds all-inclusive of the new Marriott Revive bedding packages. The price per night is $259 per night (plus local taxes of nominally 15 %).

Bookings for these rooms can be made using the Marriott’s online booking system
 
Although it is convenient to stay at the conference venue we understand that this might not be everyone’s first choice. Washington offers a variety of accommodation, from youth hostels to apartments and other premium hotels. With a variety of accommodation apps now available it is certainly easy to make your own selection but we have compiled a list of alternative accommodation, avaialbe from the CIE 2019 Secretariat,  to help you with your planning.
 
Abstract Submission

The end of the year is coming and the close of the abstract submission system for CIE 2019 (https://cie.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e25bed896798c7b36ce96e44d&id=7197be5528&e=1d421a76b1) , is coming even sooner  with the deadline December 21, 2018, 23:59:59 CET Zone.
Note that there will be no extension to this deadline and the ISC look forward to receiving your  interesting contributions to CIE 2019 in good time to meet the deadline. Below are some key points to remember about submitting  your abstract.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
Contributions can only be submitted electronically:

The CIE abstract template file must be used for your submission. It is provided on the abstract submission page or you can download it here (https://cie.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e25bed896798c7b36ce96e44d&id=2354b839be&e=1d421a76b1) .

Your abstract must be submitted in English and the text for your submission is limited to 1000 words (there should be no references included in your abstract). There is no requirement regarding the minimum length of an abstract, but keep in mind that your abstract should have enough substance for an adequate evaluation by the reviewers. Based on this information the International Scientific Committee will make a decision on the acceptance of the paper and on whether it will be given orally in a session, or as a poster presented at the stand.

Authors will be informed of the decision of the International Scientific Committee by
February 19, 2019.
